Recovery of abandoned shopping carts
Product recommendations, or recommendation frames, are a popular tool for increasing the average shopping cart value in online stores. Using various cross-selling or up-selling strategies, you can influence the increase of the Average Order Value (AOV) of the shopping cart in your store in various ways. In the context of product recommendation modules we most often think of actions directed at adding additional items complementing the one already in the cart (e.g. a person buying a smartphone will be offered a case, glass or film screen protector, insurance against damage). We can also aim to change the already selected product to a more expensive one, highlighting the benefits of choosing better quality or greater functionality).
