Cross-selling / up-selling
Up-selling and cross-selling activities in PushAd Marketing Automation are designed to increase the Average Order Value (AOV) of the shopping cart. Most often, these strategies are used when placing product recommendation modules in online stores. Up-selling is aimed at encouraging the customer to buy a more expensive product than the one already selected and added to the shopping cart, showing the benefits of spending more by emphasizing the advantages of the more expensive, usually better quality or more practical or functional substitute. Cross-selling, on the other hand, aims at increasing the amount of transactions in an e-commerce system by recommending complementary products to the one the customer is interested in. Often, various types of ancillary services such as extended warranties, insurance, carrying and installation services, etc. are also offered this way.
